How to Ensure Mighty Features Stay Intact When Sharing Rise Courses

You’ve added Mighty functionality to a Rise course and you’re ready to share it. Before you send a link, there’s one thing to check: will your reviewer see the same experience you do?

How to work around Share links when using Mighty

Standard Rise preview links may not show Mighty mods and blocks for someone without the Mighty Chrome extension installed. Fortunately, you have a few ways to share your course with those features intact.

For a quick course preview, Mighty Quick Share is the simplest option. For stakeholder feedback, Review 360 lets reviewers experience your course and leave comments.

The video below walks through the Review 360 method, including an optional way to share the course without the surrounding Review interface. Here’s how that works—and when to use each option.

Why standard Rise preview links can miss Mighty features#

When you preview a course with the Mighty Chrome extension installed, you can see the Mighty functionality you’ve added. Someone opening a standard Rise share link without the extension may have a different experience: the course opens, but some Mighty enhancements don’t appear.

That can make feedback confusing. Your reviewer might flag a missing interaction or a layout issue simply because they aren’t seeing the full course.

To share with someone who doesn’t have Mighty installed, use Mighty Quick Share or publish to Review 360 with Mighty active.

Choose the sharing option that fits your goal#

Mighty Quick Share for a quick preview

If you want someone to open a link and explore your course, start with Mighty Quick Share.

Available in the Rise Publish menu when Mighty is active, Quick Share creates a link that includes Mighty functionality. Viewers don’t need to install the extension.

It’s a simple option for sharing a work in progress, getting a second opinion on an interaction, or showing someone the learner experience.

Review 360 for stakeholder feedback

If you want reviewers to leave comments as they go, publish your course to Review 360 with the Mighty extension active.

Mighty functionality is included in the published course, so reviewers can experience your enhancements without installing the extension. They can also use Review 360’s commenting tools to share feedback.

You can send the normal Review 360 link at this point. The additional steps in the video are only needed if you want a direct course link without the Review interface.

Standard Rise share links for teammates with Mighty

A standard Rise share link can still be useful when you’re reviewing with teammates who also have the Mighty extension installed.

For someone who doesn’t have the extension, choose Quick Share or Review 360 so they can see the Mighty-enhanced experience.

How to share through Review 360#

The video demonstrates publishing to Review 360, then opening the embedded course in its own tab. This gives you a direct course link without Review 360’s surrounding interface.

If you already use Review 360 and want to share that published course as a standalone preview, follow these steps.

1. Check your course with Mighty active

Open your course in Rise with the Mighty Chrome extension installed and active.

Preview the course and check that your Mighty mods, blocks, and interactions work as intended.

2. Publish the course to Review 360

From Rise, publish your course to Review 360 with Mighty active so its functionality is included in the published output.

Once publishing is complete, open the course in Review 360.

Need reviewers to leave comments? Copy and share the normal Review 360 link. You can stop here.

For a direct course link without the commenting interface, continue below.

3. Let the course load fully

Wait for the Rise course to load inside the Review 360 page.

The course sits inside an iframe, which is an embedded page within the surrounding Review interface. You’ll use your browser’s developer tools to open that embedded course separately.

4. Open your browser’s developer tools

Right-click on the page and choose Inspect.

You’re only locating the embedded course—you don’t need to edit any code.

5. Find the course iframe

In the Elements panel, locate the iframe containing the Rise course.

As shown in the video, expand it until you see the #document item inside. That represents the embedded course document.

6. Open the course in a new tab

Right-click the #document item and choose Open in new tab, as demonstrated in the video. Developer tools menus may vary by browser.

The new tab displays the published course without the surrounding Review 360 interface. Its Mighty functionality is included, so viewers don’t need the extension installed.

7. Copy and share the link

Copy the URL from the new tab and share it with your stakeholder, client, or teammate.

Before sending it, open the link in a browser without Mighty installed—or an incognito window where the extension is disabled—to check the experience your reviewer will see.

A note about comments and course updates#

The direct course link bypasses Review 360’s commenting tools. If you want feedback inside Review 360, send the normal Review link instead.

You can also share both links with a short explanation:

• Review link: Open this version to leave comments.
• Direct course link: Open this version to explore the course without the Review interface.

And remember: changes you make in Rise need to be republished to appear in Review 360. After republishing, check the links you plan to share so reviewers see the version you want them to review.

Make the full experience easy to review#

Your reviewers should be able to open a link and see the interactions, layouts, and functionality you’ve built.

Use Mighty Quick Share when you want a simple preview link. Use Review 360 when you want comments and feedback. And if you’re already sharing through Review 360, the video’s direct-link method gives you another way to present the published course on its own.
