Icon-based flip cards that learners tap to reveal a concept, answer or supporting detail. Add a heading and introduction, then pair each icon with front-and-back learning content.

About this template

In the creator's words, from Jaki Houston-Campbell.

Give concepts, terms, or examples a quick visual punch with icon-based flip cards. Flipcards with Icons are great for microlearning, terminology review, product benefits, values, and memory checks because each card asks learners to actively reveal the answer or detail. The icon-first design makes the activity feel modern and scannable while still supporting meaningful front-and-back learning content.

Fill the front and back

Add a heading and short introduction to frame the activity. You can format the introduction with bold, italics, bullets or links.

For each card, swap in an icon or image. Add the front prompt, then place the answer or detail on the back.

Choose another card pattern when needed

  • Use Click to reveal full card when each item needs a large image and rich-text detail view.
  • Use Swipe to Sort for two-bucket judgment practice with feedback and a tally screen.
  • Use FLIPCARDS with Key Takeaway when the activity should finish with a final takeaway.
