External State-gated continue

When placed above a Rise Continue button, this activity holds learners at a point in the lesson until something outside the course is true, such as attending a seminar or a paywall lookup. Ensure the Continue button is set to 'Complete block directly above.'

The pass condition can be a matching xAPI statement in the learner's record (verb, activity, date, success or score), a response from your own web hook/service, or a SCORM 2004 value.

While locked, learners see your message and a 'Check again' button. The block can recheck itself periodically or automatically when they return from another tab, so it suits live prerequisites such as signing off a practical task or finishing work in another system.

Authors get an in-editor summary and a Test lookup button, and the block is keyboard and screen reader friendly.
