Text on Image

By Mighty

An image with the words built in. Drop in a photo, diagram, or screenshot, then float as many text boxes over it as you need, each one placed where you want it, sized to the space, and styled to sit comfortably on top of the picture. Reach for it when the text is a statement in its own right—a title over a hero image, a callout naming what the learner is looking at, a quote or a framing line that sets up the photo beneath it. Each text box takes fully formatted rich text, so headings, bold, links, and lists all work. Size a box to its text or stretch it into a full-height side panel, choose where the text sits inside it, and control position, width, background color and transparency, corner rounding, and padding on each axis. Pick the image shape—match the original or crop to 16:9, 4:3, square, and more—then soften the corners and lift it off the page with a shadow. Built to hold up everywhere learners meet it. On phones the boxes stop overlapping and stack below the image in the order you list them, so nothing is ever squeezed into a two-word column. Worth knowing as you write: text that only works while it sits over one exact spot in the picture won't be sitting there on a small screen. Text scales down on smaller screens and is never clipped at high zoom. Images carry alt text you write yourself, with a separate setting for genuinely decorative images, and screen readers announce the text boxes in the order you list them.
