Timeline

This interactive is a fully customizable horizontal timeline. It displays a series of events along a visual timeline, with alternating labels above and below the track, and automatically switches to a vertical layout on smaller screens for an optimal mobile experience.

Each event includes a label (year or custom text) and a short description displayed directly on the timeline. Events can optionally feature a clickable dot that opens a popup with a title, subtitle, and longer description — ideal for providing additional context without cluttering the main view.

It meets key WCAG accessibility criteria.

It is fully responsive and automatically switches from horizontal to vertical layout for smaller screens.
