Four-Quadrant Decision Sort

Drag-and-drop sorting / decision-making practice Best for: Prioritization frameworks (Eisenhower Matrix), analysis frameworks (SWOT), or any 2x2 decision model (e.g., Skill/Will or BCG matrix) How it works Learners are shown one phrase at a time in a "current phrase" tray and must decide which of four quadrants it belongs in. They can either: - Drag and drop the phrase card onto a quadrant, or - Click to select the phrase, then click a quadrant (or press number keys 1–4, or arrow-key navigate between quadrants and press Enter/Space) — fully keyboard-accessible with live status announcements for screen readers. Once every phrase has been placed, the Reveal answers button activates. Clicking it opens an optional results modal showing, for each phrase: whether it was placed correctly, what the learner answered, the correct quadrant, and optional custom feedback text. A running score ("You sorted X of Y correctly") is shown at the top. A Reset button lets learners clear all placements and try again (phrases reshuffle if shuffling is enabled). The activity marks complete when answers are revealed, and — if the course host supports SCORM/xAPI — logs a "matching" interaction recording each phrase-to-quadrant placement, the correct mapping, and overall result. Configuration options Labels (all editable for localization): current-phrase heading, progress text (with {placed}/{total} placeholders), all-placed message, reveal/reset button text, results title, close button text, and results summary text (with {correct}/{total} placeholders) Appearance: background, accent, card, and default quadrant colors; global watermark options; and a quadrant-title sub-panel (font family, size, color, alignment) Accessibility Full keyboard operability, ARIA roles/labels on phrases and quadrants, aria-live status updates for placements and selection changes, and a focus-trapped, Escape-dismissible results dialog.
