About this template

In the creator's words, from Tim.

Sorting interaction with one or more lists.

In single list mode, you need to sort things in to the correct order, top to bottom. Items are randomly ordered to be begin with.

In multi list mode, you need to sort things into the correct lists. Items are randomly distributed across lists to begin with. You can also turn on exact ordering within multiple lists.

You can have text and/or images in the distractors.

Pick the closest starting sort

The Hand washing preset starts in single mode with one list and five items. Start here for a procedure learners must order from top to bottom.

The Preparation preset starts in multi mode with three lists and five items in each. Start here when learners sort items among named categories in any order.

Add or remove lists and items from either starting point.

Add the sort content and checking rules

Write the prompt. Name each list, then add text or images to its items.

Set feedback and retries. You can require a correct answer before learners complete the interaction. In multi mode, turn on exact ordering when placement within each list also matters.

Pick card-by-card sorting when needed

Use Swipe to Sort when learners should classify one card at a time into two buckets. It gives instant feedback on each card and ends with a tally screen.
